BADMINTON CLUB DANCE. Gaily coloured streamers decorated the Frahkley school gymnasium 6fi Wednesday evening for the Frankley B. dminton Club’s dance. There was a good attendance. Music was played by Mr. G. Smith (drums) and Mr. B. Tatnell (piafio). Mr. H. Brooke was master of ceremonies. Hostesses for the evening Were Mrs. R. J. Thomas and Miss Keightley. An item which Was accorded a Very enthusiastic encore was ‘the Highland fling danced by Eulalie Sturgeon. Miss J. Williamson and Mt. J. Kenfiy won a Monte Carlo and a lucky spot ihtee-step was won by Miss Joyce Neighbour and partner. . Mf. G. Kenny won a pair of dressed fowls gnd Miss JOyce Vincent a box Of chbcOlates. Extras were played by Mrs. Lander. The Carrington school basketball team visited Frankley school on Thursday, the match resulting in a win for the homb team by three" goals, to one. After the match the teams were entertained at afternoon tea in the school gymnasium. The teferees for the match were Mrs. Mansfield 7 and Mrs. fhomas.
