HAWERA HIGH SCHOOL EVENT.

OLD BOYS AND GIRLS COMBINE.

Three hundred dancers assembled at St. Joseph’s Hall on Wednesday night for the old pupils’ reunion ball. The old pupils’ associations having successfully held like functions for 15 years, the event is always anticipated with much interest.* St. Joseph’s Hall looked its best under its canopy of attractively arranged greens and streamers, with its walls transformed by mirrors. Wills' Melody makers provided the melodies which spell success for the dancers, and supper was provided by a capable and willing committee from the parents’ association, including Mesdames Lester, MeAnerin, Kirkby, Crompton, Woods and Marshall, under the convenership of Mrs. T. C. Hobbs, senr. The old girls’ committee consisted of Miss J. Catchpole and Misses B. Woods, A. Duke, K. Brown, A. McLaren, V. Jones, D. Garnett, B» Foy, N. '’Vhyte, and K. and M. Brown. Suppertime extras were' played by Mr. Ray Wills and Mr. W. Barleyman, and the president of the combined associations, Mr. D. Wills, was the master of ceremonies.
