PERSONAL AND'GENERAL.

A successful euchre party organised by the Gkaiawa branch of the W.D.F.U. was held in the supper-room of > the hall on Thursday night. Prizes were won by Mrs. D. Hurley and Mr. R. Wallis. The "travelling” prize winners were Mrs. Flower and Mr. W. Blair. After supper a short dance was held to music supplied by Mrs. E. J. Betts. The master of ceremonies was Mr. Clem Blair. Mrs. Struthers, of Abadan, Persia, arrived at Auckland by the Wanganella from Austfalia on Wednesday and is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Barclay senr. Mrs. G. Barclay has returned from Auckland.
