OPUNAKE TO PLAY STRATFORD. RUGBY UNION MATCHES TO-DAY.’ Stratford and Opunake, leading teams in the Taranaki senior Jlugby competition, will meet at Opunake to-day in, a. match that will have an important bearing on the final placings of the teams. The prospects re for bright and even football in both games. - ; Clifton, fresh from its heavy defeat of Tukapa last week, will meet an old rival in Inglewood at Waitara. Another Schneider Shield competition Rugby match was played at Purangi during the week-end, Purangi drawing with Kaimata, three all. Mr. Jones, Kaimata, was the referee.
