GOLF AT TARURUTANGI
PLAY DURING THE WEEK-END. Favoured by fine weather, the weekend golf competitions at Tarurutangi drew good entries. Play was commenced for the took and Lister trophy and there was a bogey handicap and a flag match. The following were the results: — Cook and Lister Trophy:—First round: Jeffries beat Cartwright 1 up, Daly beat Horsup 7 and 6, A. Street beat Murray 2 and 1, Aroa and Wilton yet to play. Semi-final: Jeffries beat Daly 3 and 2. Bogey handicap:—D. Street 1 down, E. R. McKeon 2 down, N. Chamberlain 2 down, J. Sampson 3 down, Spence Giddy 3 down. The flag match was won by F. Murray.
