Mrs. J. W. Boon is spending a holiday at Whakatane and is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. L. Berg.

Farquharson is spending a holiday at Palmerston North as the guest of relatives. Mrs. W. Hall, who has been spending a holiday at Dunedin and Wellington, has returned. Miss Joan Carter returned to Otorohanga on Friday after a visit to Mrs. Meyenberg. Mrs. Kowaleski, who has been spending a holiday at Auckland, has returned. Misses Zoe and Ola Masters have been visiting friends at Feilding. Miss April Jardine has returned from a holiday visit to Otaki and Wellington. Miss A. Hardy Jones, who has been spending a holiday at Wanganui, has returned.

Mrs. Cresswell has returned from Melbourne, where she accompanied Miss Joan Cresswell, who is remaining in Australia to continue her dancing studies. Miss Molly Lyons was a bridge hostess on Friday night, when her guests were Misses N. Spence, Sandford, A. Hardy Jones, N. Thorpe and Rheinhardt. Mrs. JjwLyons gave a bridge party on Wednesday night in the form of a fare.well party for Mr. A. Coleman, who will leave shortly for Wellington. Among those present were Mrs, A. Coleman, Dr. Doris Gordon, Mrs. C. Rutherfurd, Mrs. Jeffries, S. Macalister, Mrs. D. Malone, Mrs. Hunt. Mrs. H. Taylor gave an evening for a few relatives and friends in honour of her grand-niece, Miss Norma Mappi Some of those present were Mesdames G. Hall, A. W. Mapp, Turnbull, C. Davis and Miss Mapp.

A good attendance filled the Parish Hall on Friday night at a Church of England dance. A statue wAltz was won by Miss Corbett and partner and a Monte Carlo waltz by Miss Lash and partner. An extra was played by Miss Molly Femmel. Some of those present were Mesdames E.
