RIDES FOUR WINNERS

The Victoria Racing Club’s meeting was held at Flemington yesterday. _ The New Zealand jockey K. Voitre continues to ride impressively. He excelled himself to-day, winning the Rothsay Handicap of seven furlongs on Valiant Chief, the Royal Handicap of six furlongs on Vauhtry and the last race on Turf Boy. . On returning to scale at the finish of the last race he received an ovation from the crowd. . He also dead-heated for first on Alarm in the Sandringham Handicap, t - . . The only other jockey to win four races in one day hitherto at Flemington is also a New Zealander, M. McCarten. Voitre seems certain to win the jockeys premiership at Melbourne this season. Epigram and First Money were unplaced in the Royal Handicap. Ruling Light was unplaced in the Sandringham Handicap. ,
