CLUB WOUND UP
CITY RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB.
DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS MADE. The Hawera City (Wednesday). Rugby Football Club has been wound up as the result of a meeting of members, and the funds of the club have been distributed to various organisations. Trophies held by the club will be returned to the Wednesday Rugby committee. At the meeting it was decided to make donations of £2 2s to the Red Cross Society field division, £1 Is to the football gymnasium fund, £1 Is to the citizens’ shelter, and footballs to the Hawera Main, Convent, Turuturu and Tawhiti schools. The assistance of the Press during the club’s existence was acknowledged.
