LOWGARTH MEN DEFEAT WOMEN.

WIN FO,R FARMERS’ UNION. By the margin of one point the members of the' Lowgarth branch of the Farmers’ Union upheld their honour in a euchre challenge contest with members of the branch of the W.D.F.U. played on Friday night The scores were 177 to 176. Seventeen tables were occupied. The euchre prizewinners were Mr. E. Kilbride and Master C. Shrimpton and Miss R. Robson and Mrs. Neale. The prizes were given by Messrs. Bloxham, A. T. Sulzberger, Mrs. A. D. Johnson and Mrs. F. Wiliam After supper dancing was enjoyed. The music was provided by Mrs. G. Schneller. Miss R. Robson gave a tap dance and Miss E. Richardson sang. Messrs. A. A. Pipqr and F. Wilian were the masters of ceremonies.
