CIVIL SERVANTS’ PAY
RESTORATION CONSIDERED DUE. MEETING of ASSOCIATIONS HELD. By Telegraph—Press Association. . Wellington, June 1. A meeting of representatives from the executives of nine State servants’ associations was held yesterday, when the economic position of State servants' resulting from the salary reductions of 1931 and 1932 was considered in all respects. It was decided that the time was overdue, on every conceivable argument of equity and reciprocation of efficient services, for the Government to restore cuts in full.
A resolution was carried pledging the combined associations to press determinedly for restoration of the salaries to the 1930 level. z
