DUDLEY ROAD EVENING
SUCCESSFUL GATHERING HELD. A successful gathering was held in the Dudley Road Hall on Friday, visitors from many parts patronising ~a social evening and dance. Euchre was won by Mrs. Manning and E. Schicker. Dance music was supplied by J. Shoemark, with extras by Miss Sheila Paterson, Kaimiro, and Mr. J. Larmer, Inglewood. A Monte Carlo dance was won by Miss M. Fabish and Mr. G. Burton. Items were given by Messrs. G. Stella and D. Barren, and Mr. Larmer sang. Mr. B. Indovitzen yodelled. Community singing was led by Messrs, L. Old, J. Shaw, B. Indovitzen, Mrs. M. Burrows, Misses S. Paterson and N. Egarr. Miss Paterson played accompaniments. Miss S. Paterson has returned to her home at Kaimiro. Mrs. E. Bridgeman and Mr. Jim Bridgeman are touring the north. Mrs. W. Egarr is spending a few days at New Plymouth.
