TATARAIMAKA ACCIDENT

GENERAL AND PERSONAL NEWS. Eileen Doherty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Doherty, Main Road, Tataraimaka, cut her knee badly with a knife and was removed to hospital last Thursday and operated on that afternoon. She occupies the Tataraimaka cot, provided by the Tataraimaka branch of the Junior Red Cross Society when the Tabor ward was built. The Tataraimaka basketball team last week played Warea, the game resulting in a win for Tataraimaka by 15 goals to 1. 1 The interior of the Patua factory is receiving attention owing to flood damage. The, water scoured tunnels under the flooring, which has to be entirely removed to remedy the trouble and then replaced. Miss Sybil Murray, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. P. Hoby, “Fairley.” Mr. and Mrs. J. Stronge, Greenwood Road, will leave to-night to visit Mrs. Stronge’s sister, Mrs. C. Pepperell, and Mr. Pepperell, Houto, Whangarei. Miss L. Knight has returned from a holiday at Carterton, where she was the guest of Miss Betty Beale. Mr. and Mrs. E. Honeyfield and Mr? and Mrs. K. Honeyfield left for Auckland by car last .week.
