KING’S JUBILEE
SCHOOL CELEBRATIONS AT TOKO. HUINGA AND DOUGLAS JOIN IN. A meeting of the committees of the Toko, Huinga and Douglas schools was held at the Toko school on Tuesday to consider the question of suitable celebration of the King’s jubilee. It was decided to pool the resources of the three committees and hold a combined gathering on the Toko domain on Friday, May 10, commencing at 12.30. A jubilee cake is to be provided as well as fruit, lollies, etc., and parents and friends are to be asked to bring baskets. Committees were set up to arrange sports events for the children.
At 1.45 the children will be marshalled to salute the flag and sing the National Anthem.
