WIDOW LIBERATED
ALEXANDRE STAVISKY SWINDLE. MANY OTHERS STILL IN CUSTODY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Paris, April 30. Madame Stavisky, widow of the swindler, Alexandre Stavisky, has been liberated, the court holding that there was no legal ground for her detention. Darius, the editor of the newspaper Midi, and Guibout-Ribault, Stavisky’s former lawyer, have also been released. Carat, former Mayor of Bayonne, Heyot, a theatre owner, Digon, a director of the Bayonne Municipal Pawnshop, and Guibin, an insurance director, are still held in custody. The date of their trial has not been fixed.
