TOURIST TRAFFIC
NEW ZEALAND’S BEST INDUSTRY. OPPORTUNITY IN UNITED STATES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Hamilton, Last Night. Remarking that New Zealand’s best industry lay perhaps in the development of the tourist traffic, Mr. Paul Harris, founder of Rotary, stressed the opportunity that lay in America for fruitful tourist propaganda in an interview at,Hamilton to-day. “It is not that Americans are starved for news of your country,” Mr. Harris said. “Nevertheless, the fact remains that opportunities which could be exploited to the full remain untouched. I have been delighted with my visit to the Dominion, and so would many, other Americans. Much of the Dominion’s tourist traffic should originate from the Pacific coast of America, and California should yield a big quota of visitors annually.”
