JUBILEE BALL AT PATEA

SUCCESSFUL ANGLICAN EVENT. A jubilee ball organised ,by St. George’s Church at Patea concluded the programme of social and church gatherings arranged to commemorate the jubilee anniversary. The flag of St. George formed the centrepiece in a canopy of red and white streamers in the hall, and the colours were repeated in the lavish appointments in the supper room. Hooker’s Merrymakers orchestra played the music. During the evening an exhibition tapdance was given by Mr. A. Smith.
