RUGBY IN SCHOOLS
SOUTH TARANAKI COMPETITION. ' FIRST ROUND PRIMARY DRAW. The first of the primary school competition Rugby football matches in South Taranaki will be played to-morrow. The organiser of the southern'group, Mr. A. E. Gilliver, announces the following draw:— Senior. May 3: Hawera A v. Manaia, at Manaia; Okaiawa a bye. May 10: Manaia v. Okaiawa, at Okaiawa; Hawera A a bye. May 31:. Okaiawa v. Hawera A, at Hawera; Manaia a bye. Junior. May 3: Hawera B v. Tawhiti, at Tawhiti; Hawera Convent v. Turuturu, at Turuturu. May 10: Hawera B v. Turuturu, at Hawera; Tawhiti v. Convent, at Hawera. May 31: Hawera B v." Convent, at Hawera; Tawhiti v. Turuturu, at Tawhiti. The second round will follow the completion of the first and travelling teams in the first round will play at home in the second. Arrangements for grounds and referees are left in the Hands of the home teams.
RUGBY MATCH VENUES. Owing to a mistake in taking the fixtures from last year's draw the venue for two Taranaki senior Rugby matches was given wrongly in a list of referees supplied on Tuesday morning. Strat,ford Old Boys will play Okaiawa at Stratford and Stratford will play Athletic at Hawera.
