Mr. Walter Runciman, President of the Board of Trade, in the House of Commons said he was glad to state that the Belgian Government had informed the British Government that steps had been taken to ensure that the devaluation of the belga should not lead to abnormal exports of Belgian goods to foreign markets, and that for this purpose a system of export licenses would take effect immediately for certain articles. Mr. Walter Runciman added that he understood also, that export prices quoted by Belgian manufacturers were being closely watched by the Belgian Government.
