DEATH AT MATIERE
CORONER RECORDS HIS FINDING.
INQUEST ON DOUGLAS 'HIGGIE.
I (By Telegraph—Special to News.) Taumarunui, Last Night.
The adjourned inquest concerning the death of Douglas Alexander Onslow Highie, a farmer at Matiere, who was found dead on the (side of the road on Sunday, March 23, was held this morning before Mr. A. S. Laird, district coroner. At the preliminary inquiry the coroner said that as the medical evidence did not disclose the cause of death he deemed it advisable to have the contents of Higgie’s stomach analysed by the Government analyst at Auckland. From the evidence given previously it would appear that Higgie died from natural causes and his finding was to that effect.
