CARDIFF TENNIS CLUB
CLOSING DAY TOURNAMENT. The tennis season at Cardiff ended on Thursday when the club held its closing day. A large number of players took part in a Yankee tournament. After some exciting games Miss M. Brunton and Mr. L. Redshaw secured the prizes. Afternoon tea was served by , the women members of the club.
The president, Mr. H. Limmer, reviewed the season’s play. He said that many, of the younger members were to be congratulated upon their improved play. He expressed the hope that next season would prove as profitable as the one just closed. Personal Items.
Miss Belton, who was the guest of her sister, Mrs. D. Brunton, has returned to New Plymouth. Mr. Greenwell is an inmate of the Stratford Hospital. Miss Mavis Rayner is visiting friends at Matamata. Mrs. Demell, who had been visiting her daughter, Mrs. F. Aubrey, has returned to Waitara.
