AUSTRALIAN RULES AT DARWIN, COMPETITION ENDS IN FIASCO. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Darwin, April 15. An Australian rules football competition, which has been the cause of much unpleasantness at Darwin, ended in a fiasco on Saturday when a white team did not take the field against a halfcaste team in the final, and the latter, after filing into the field and kicking a goal, was declared the winner. Following incidents of the previous Saturday, when spectators invaded the field while members of. the white and black semi-final teams fought, the remaining white team delivered an ultimatum that it would not play in the final except under an umpire whom it nominated. The controlling authority refused this demand.
