WARWICK FARM RACES PARQUET WINS UNEXPECTEDLY. MASTER BRIERLY RUNS THIRD. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 6.30’p.m. Sydney, April 13. The Warwick Farm races were held yesterday in dull weather. Voitre’s long run of successful outings was broken on his first appearance in New South Wales. He came very near to scoring on Hall Mark, who ran very creditably considering he had barely recovered from his recent heel injury. Rogilla showed a fine return to form and the Doncaster and Sydney Cup candidate Sarcherie impressed. The disappointment of the day was Silver Jubilee (N.Z.) who, after being prominent early, finished last in the Liverpool ridden by Voitre. The popular Doncaster candidate Dromos finished well to fill second place behind 'Tatyoon in the Cabramatta Mile, in which Blixten was unplaced. Results were:— FAIRFIELD HANDICAP. Six Furlongs. First Division. PARQUET (N.Z.), 8.2 (Marsden) .. 1 WYKEHAM, 8.6 (O’Sullivan) 2 REMBRANDT, 8.9 (McCarten) 3 Twelve started, including Legatee. Length; half a head. Time, Im. 13Js. Parquet’s win was a surprise. The Limond filly finished brilliantly from the rear of the field. Second Division. MEDALLIST, 8.8 (J. Munro) 1. GYMKHANA, 8.0 (Coutts) 2 CEREZA, 8.13 (Pratt) 3 Ten started, including Homer. Half a head; quarter of a length. Time, Im. 14s. CHIPPING NORTON PLATE. One mile and a-quarter. Hall Mark was last into the straight and just failed to catch-the winner. LIVERPOOL HANDICAP. Six furlongs. SILVER KING, 8.12 (D. Munro) .... 1 CAREFREE, 7.13 (Carter) 2 CANEGRASS, 8.5 (Pratt) 3 All started. Twelve lengths; half a length. Time, Im. 13s. WARWICK FARM AUTUMN CUP. One mile and a-half.
