FISHING VESSEL BROKEN UP.
TOLL OF FIERCE SOUTH GALE.
By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Rec. 7.30 p.m. Melbourne, April 14. The Japanese freighter Mansei Maru, laden with wheat and wool, was aground for two hours in the channel off Williamstown during a fierce southerly gale on Friday. Yesterday the vessel was released after a battle by two tugs. A fishing ketch was dashed to pieces and jetties and foreshores damaged.
