RUGBY LEAGUE COMMITTEE. TERRITORIALS’ ACTIVITIES. At a meeting of the Inglewood Rugby League football committee on Thursday evening, owing to the absence of the president, Mr. W- J. Smith, the chair was taken by Mr. W. G. Ladbrook. The action of the chairman in making arrangements for the present training hall were confirmed. It was decided to enter both a senioi- and a junior team in the competition. Letters were received from both the Taupiri and Ngaruawahia clubs, seeking to arrange a match with Inglewood fox- June 3. As further advice is expected the mattex- was left in the hands of the chairman and Mr, F. Price to make suitable arrangements. Two teams are to be entered for the coming ten-a-side tournament.

The procuring of jerseys for the senioiteam was left to Messrs. A. Reesby and F. Price to approach local fix-ms for quotations. Arrangements were made for a working bee to clean the training hall and install the gymnasium apparatus. The fortnightly parade of the territorials was held on Wednesday evening when, owing to the boisterous weather, only 25 were present. Rifle exercises were carried out by the new recruits, while advanced work was done by the senior- members.

Arrangements were made fox- the platoon to parade on Anzac Day. It was unfortunate that the new members will not have their- uniforms by this date.

A team from the Inglewood platoon recently went to Stratford to shoot in a match arranged by the Legion of Frontiersmen. As this was its first experience at match shooting the team did very well in gaining fourth place. In a sweepstake shoot Sergeant D. Allen topped the score. It is intended to enter teams in other forthcoming shooting competitions. The next parade will be held on Wednesday when final arrangements will be made for Anzac Day.

Bowling Chib Matches. The Thursday section of the bowling tournament for the geese donated by Mr. J. Eversfield was concluded on Thursday. The match was played as progressive pairs. The skips’ division was won by Lamb after a play-off with S. G. McLaggan, both having secured three wins and one loss. In the leads’ division the winner was a youth, Daryl Codd, who is not a member of the club, but who filled in the position to oblige the players. Consequently A. Baker, with three wins, will win the leads’ division. These players will play off with the winners of Saturday’s games. The following are the detailed results: Skips: Henry, wins, 2 losses; R.
