WOMEN’S HOCKEY MATCH
NEW PLYMOUTH BEAT URENUI. New Plymouth defeated Urenui by five goals to nil in a women’s practice hockey match played at Urenui on Saturday. The game was hard and fast with the decision in doubt until near the end. Urenui, which played in excellent combination last season, had several new players and consequently did’ not settle down to team-work at first. The new members, however, showed that they are likely to be difficult to beat before the season closes.
New Plymouth played its usual sound game and is as formidable as ever.
