UPPER MANGOREI HALL

ANNUAL MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The annual meeting of the Upper Mangorei hall committee was held on Tuesday night when there was a good attendance. Mr. Pearce presided. The secretary,■'Mr. Wood, presented a report and financial statement and Mr. Busing, chairman of the amusement committee, gave a resume of social evenings. It was decided to form a society of householders to act as trustees for the hall.

The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr. Pearce; vicepresident, Mr. Jackson; secretarv. Mr. Wood; amusement committee, Messrs. Busing, Flay, Roberts, Pitt, Pearce jnr, Knauf, Mr. Pearce being appointed chairman and Mr. Wood secretary. A vote of thanks was passed to members of the out-going committee. Sympathy was expressed with Mr. R. Wallath in his illness. Personal Items.

Mrs. L. Maine, with her infant son, is staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.. J. D. Pearce.
