CALEDONIAN SOCIETY

INGLESIDES AND PIPE BAND. At the monthly meeting of the New Plymouth Caledonian Society last night the principal business was connected with the series of inglesides, the first of which will be held on April 29. The executive decided to feature suitable items of Highland dancing and songs interspersed with the dances, particularly during the first part of the ingleside programmes. It was felt that in this way the older and non-dancing members of the society would find more pleasure in the inglesides. Committees were formed to make the necessary arrangements.

The executive agreed to set up a subcommittee to develop the activities of the New Plymouth Pipe Band, with the object of ultimately equipping the bandsmen .with new tunics and pipes.
