GIRLS’ SCHOOL JUBILEE
ARRANGEMENTS WELL IN HAND.
Arrangements for the New Plymouth Girls’ High School jubilee at Easter are well in hand. Reports from sub-com-mittees were received last night at a meeting of the executive at which Miss E. Andrews presided. The New Plymouth Women’s Club wrote offering visiting old girls tire use of its rooms during the celebrations. Letters were received from numerous people wishing the school a successful jubilee. Among them was one from Mrs. E. Pridham, widow of the first headmaster of the New Plymouth High School.
Misses A. Wilson and C. A. Douglas were reappointed delegates of the association to the annual meeting of the National Council of Women.
Jubilee badges and ribbons were distributed to the committee.
The jubilee cake is to be on show in a shop window in town before the celebrations, it was reported.
