QUESTIONS ASKED IN BRITAIN.
By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.
London, April 9. In the House of Commons Mr. Ramsay McDonald,- replying to Sir Herbert Samuel’s question relating to New Zealand’s legislation on the rights of New Zealand women married to aliens, said that at present Government opinion was that it did not serve a useful purpose to discuss with Dominion representatives at London the question of further legislation concerning women’s nationality with a view to obtaining uniformity throughout the Empire. Sir Herbert Samuel: Will not the Government consider legislation going at least as far as New Zealand’s?
Mr. MacDonald: It is one thing in New Zealand and another here.
