Wellington, Last Night Although the liner Rangitata is expected to reach Wellington to-morrow evening, Viscount and Lady Galway will not land until Friday morning, when the programme of welcome previously arranged to take place to-morrow will be carried out.

The only ceremony to-morrow evening will consist of the escorting of the Rangitata into the Harbour by H.M.S. Diomede and H.M.S. Leith, followed by the firing of salutes. If the hour is not too late aircraft from the Royal New Zealand Air Force will fly in formation above the ship. The Administrator of the Government, Sir Michael Myers, has sent the following mesage of welcome to Lord Galway, aboard the Rangitata:' “In. offering my cordial greetings on your close approach to the shores of this Dominion, may I express the hope that you and Lady Galway and your family may be blessed with all happiness during your term of office. I am confident you will receive a warmhearted welcome from all classes on your arrival.” 1 .. 1 .•

Sir Michael Myers Has received the following reply: “Very many thanks for / your kind welcome. All well and greatly looking forward to our arrival.”
