FAREWELL AT WAITARA
DEPARTURE OF MINISTER. A farewell social evening to the Rev. and Mrs. D. B. Cuming and family was held in the Methodist hall on Monday. Visitors were present from Lepperton, Urenui and Uruti. A posy was presented to Mrs. Cuming and' the guests of honour were presented with an oak tea waggon, throw-over and plate from members of the church and friends. Mr. Cuming replied. Opportunity was taken to present Miss R. Elliot with a crystal vase as a mark, of appreciation for her services to the church.
Items were given by Mesdames Anderson and Locke, Misses T. Cuming and E. Fraser.
Mr. and Mrs. Cuming and family were farewelled by the young people of the Methodist Church on Friday evening. Games and competitions were held' and on behalf of those present Mr. and Mrs. Cuming were presented with a seagrass chair.
