FOOTBALL AT MOKAU

PROPOSED SENIOR TEAM. A meeting of Mokau residents interested in forming a senior football club was held in the Mokau hall on Saturday afternoon. Mr. S. Pratt presided. It was decided that Messrs. A. Martin and N. Clifton snr. be delegates of the club at the general meeting to be held a* Awakino to discuss the formation of a senior team and the question of boundaries. It was decided that the club colours be blue. A meeting of the junior football club was held at the same time, and last yeaFs balance-sheet was received., It showed a credit balance of £5 17s Bd.

A proposal to give £3 to the sports ground committee was unanimously approved. Nothing definite about forming a junior team was decided.
