OPENING MEETING
Y.W.C.A. GENERAL INTEREST CLUBS. The responsive enthusiasm shown at New Plymouth on Tuesday night by more than 40 members at the opening meeting of the senior girls’ and citizens’ general interest Y.W.C.A. dlubs augured well for the success of the year. Reception ceremonies and games conducted by Miss D. Bates occupied most of the evening. Miss M. Greenwell lead community singing. The members separated into groups and elected officers for the year as follows: — 1 Senior club: President, Miss A. Aldridge; secretary, Miss D. Scott; treasurer, Miss J. Greiner. Citizens’ club: President, Miss M. Homer; secretary, Miss N. Rogers; treasurer, Miss J. Woods. Newly formed citizens’ club: President, Miss M. Gaylard; secretary, Miss M. Smith.
