Y.W.-Y.M.C.A. STREET DAY

MONTHLY MEETING OF BOARD. Preliminary arrangements for the Y.W.Y.M.C.A. street day on June 4 were discussed yesterday at the monthly meeting of the board. Mrs. A. Alexander presided.

Mrs. S. R. Moi-ley waited on the board and gave a comprehensive report'of the recent national convention, dealing with questions of adolescent girls’ work, leadership training,. world fellowship and others. Miss N. Greenwell reported on local activities for the month, which gave evidence of excellent progress. The minutes of the national executive meeting were received, interest being taken in the appointment of Mrs. E. Bennett, sister-in-law of Bishop Bennett, to be New Zealand president. Mrs. Bennett has been in the work for 23 years. An invitation from the New Plymouth Girls’ High School jubilee committee to send two representatives to a garden party on Easter Sunday was received. -< The resignation of Miss E. M. Moore from the position of treasurer was accepted with regret. Mrs. A. S. Clark was elected to fill the vacancy and Mrs. F. Therkleson was appointed minute secretary. Mesdames Alexander and Insull were deputed to attend the annual meeting of the National Council of Women;
