QUARRELS WITH MOTHER
MONEY STOLEN AT HAMILTON.
JOURNEY MADE TO WELLINGTON.
ARRESTED ON LEAVING HOSPITAL.

Wellington, April 10.
Following a quarrel with his mother a 21-year-old mechanic broke into a wardrobe in a home at Hamilton and stole £9. Then he came to Wellington. He was admitted to hospital and was arrested on discharge, when he admitted taking the money and spending it on clothing and fares. When charged to-day in court he pleaded guilty. The father explained that the boy vzas knocked down some years ago by a car and h.-.d been under medical care frequently since. He asked the magistrate to give the boy a chance so that he could take him home and look after him.
Accused was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called within 12 months.
