general superiority shown. WAITARA BEATEN 17 SETS TO 7. Rotokare always had the better of Waitara and won by 17 sets (156 games) to 7 sets (121 games). Nicholls, the Waitara top player, was the only winner for Waitara in the men’s singles, and the Rotokare women won all but two of the singles. In the men’s doubles Waitara took two of the three sets but Rotokare more than evened the account by winning all the women’s doubles. Waitara gained two of the combined doubles.
