INGLEWOOD SPRINGS SURPRISE.

NEW PLYMOUTH WINS EASILY. The defeat of the first, second and fourth New Plymouth players by Inglewood caused a mild sensation in the New Plymouth-Inglewood match played on the New Plymouth club’s courts. New Plymouth won the match by 17 sets (163 games) to 7 sets (117 games). Torrens and Shaw outplayed S. Cliffordand C. H. Strombom to win the respective singles by the same score, 9—7, while C.
