DANCE AT TUTUTAWA
BACHELORS’ EVENT A SUCCESS; GENERAL AND PERSONAL NEWS. The bachelors of Tiitutawa held a dance ofi March 15 which proved a succfess. Music wsk played by Vinseh’s Ambassadors arid extras by Miss A. Coin. A'Monte Carlo was won by Miss V. Whakaru and Mr. M. Norris. Miss Whakaru is staying with her sister, Mrs. P. Norris. ■ Mrs. Beckwith left on Thursday for Dunedin. . , Miss K. Sutherland, who has been staying with Mrs. Beckwith, left for her home at New Plymouth on Wednesday. Miss E. Hiik Opunake, is staying at the school house as the guest of her aunt, Miss D. Hill. Mrs. R. Phillips is spending a week at New Plyfriduth With Mr. ahd Mr. A. Staridfing, Tututawa, has left the district. Miss M. Brooking has left the district. Mrs. Burining is spending a holiday at IngleWdod. Mr. Muggletori is an inmate of the hospital. Tennis at Tututawa is in full swing; Ladder match results are: Miss Walker (challenger) beat Miss Jacobsen 6—3, Mrs. Cutfield (challenger) beat Mirs. Welsh 6—3, MisS Bunriihg beat Mrs. Cutfield (Challenger) Miss Walker (challenger) loSt to Mrs. Welsh 2—6, Mrs. Walker (challenged beat Mrs. Muggleton 6— 3, Mrs. Welch (challenger) beat Mrs. diltified 7--5, Miss Jacobsen (challenger) lost to Miss B. Walker I—6, D. Meek (challenger) beat N. Walker, M. Walker arid W. Jacobsen. Miss T. Beckwith is staying at the post office.
