LEGACY TO COLLEGE
ALEXANDER CRAWFORD’S WILL. PROVISION OF SCHOLARSHIPS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, March 22. The will of the late Mr. A. D. Crawford, Miramar, provides a legacy of £5OOO to Victoria University College, of which £2OOO is for the benefit of the college library and.. £3OOO, to be known as the Alexander Crawford scholarship fund, for the provision of two scholarships, one for science and the other for such other branch of college education as the council may determine. The scholarships will be awarded to bona fide residents of Wellington and will be available to either sex.
