HURFORD ROAD DANCE
BENEFIT FOR HALL FUNDS. A long night dance organised by the Hurford branch of the W.D.F.U. was held in the hall on Thursday when there was a large attendance. The proceeds were for the hall funds in return for the free use of the hall for meetings. Music was provided by Boulton’s orchestra and an extra waltz by Mr. N. Rennie. Two Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Miss M. Connett and Mr. V. Connett and Misses I. McKee and T. Young. Messrs. D. Lynch and A. Williams were masters of ceremonies. Euchre prizes were won by Mrs. R. Marsh and Mr. A. Woods. A competition for a knife given by Mr. A. Hoflman was won by Mr. S. Jury. Personal Items. Miss D. Vickers is visiting relatives at Napier. Mr. and Mrs. G. Duke have returned from a lengthy motor tour of the North Island.
