HORSES FOR AWAPUNI. YESTERDAY’S GALLOPS.

On account of horses leaving for Palmerston North there was little in-r teresting fast work on the Hawera tracks yesterday morning, nothing being extended over three furlongs. The trial grass was used for galloping, the sand track being mainly used for pace work. . •/. ■ ■’ The only horses engaged at Awapuni to be galloped were Harvest Moon and Arouse, both going separately over three furlongs down the back and both registering 38s. for the sprint.
