OPUNAKE GOLF BEGINS
MIXED FOURSOMES PLAYED.
The Opunake Golf Club held a suc-
cessful opening day on Wednesday, the attendance being the largest one the club has had on such an occasion. The president, Mr. G. Mclvor, in welcoming the visitors and members, forecast a successful season. A number of new members had joined up, he said. He asked Miss Trotter to play the first ball, which went soaring into the lupins, tnere being a chase for possession of it.
The pairs- played in the mixed foursomes, the best Scores being:— • Mrs. Ritchie and W. Bennett 43—12—37 Mrs. Bolger and E. J. Wallis 54—16—38 Miss Trotter and M. Bolger 48—10—38 Mrs. Morris arid G.
