TONGAPORUTU CUP COMPETITION.
URUTI TEAM BEATEN.
Playing at Urenui during the weekend, the Urenui tennis team defeated Uruti by 12 sets (128 games) to seven sets (113 games). Details are as follows, Urenui players being mentioned first:— Men’s singles: R. Simonsen beat N. Knofflock 9—3, B. Jonas lost to J. Oxenham 4—9, D. McKenzie beat E. Oxenham 9—5, B. Rowe lost to M. Agate 4—9, M. Rogers lost to V. Boyes 7—9, I. Quinn tost to W. Oxenham 3—9.
