CONDEMNATION BY THE POPE. “HORRIBLE AND SHAMELESS.” By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Vatican City, March 5, The Pope, receiving Lenten preachers, strongly condemned the “horrible and shameless modern cult of nudism” He added that even in the days of ancient Greece and Rome there was no such cult. He inveighed against the paganism dominating the world to-day. Special prayers will be said in St. Peter’s on April 7 for the souls of militant atheists, with special reference to people of Soviet Russia in order to secure their conversion.
