TAINUI TENNIS CLUB PARTY.' A progressive five-hundred party in aid of Tainui Tennis Club was held at the home of Miss F. Northern last Thursday evening. Prizes were won as fellows: Mrs. H. J. Gray and Mr. D. Montgomery 1; highest score, Miss M. Bartlett and Mr. H. N. Northern; consolation, Mrs. N. R. Jones and Mr. J. Bartlett. Mrs. H. Cummings entertained a'number of young folk on Thursday evening at a jolly party. Dancing and games occupied most of the evening. Mrs. H. J. Gray and Mrs. F. King motored to New Plymouth last Friday. Miss F. Northern motored to Cambridge on Sunday.* Miss F. King leaves to-day for Mangamingi. Mr. Thorby, Waitipipi, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. G. Richards, “Taumete Maire.” Mr. Fraser Smith, “Bournemouth,?’ leaves on Tuesday for the Kirioi dog trials. .. ■ - - » Mr. J. Wright and Mr. E. Calvert are attending the Kirioi dog trials jthis week.
