EUROPEAN TALKS

SIR JOHN SIMON AT PARIS. INVITATION TO VISIT MOSCOW. British Wireless. • Rugby, March 1. Sir John Simon’s visit to Paris gave an opportunity for conversation with M. Laval, French Foreign Minister. It is understood the conversation was of a general nature with particular reference to the manner in which the European situation has developed since the AngloFrench conversations at London on February 3. The forthcoming visit of Sir John Simon to Berlin was also touched upon. Sir John reached Croydon to-day by air from Paris. The Soviet Ambassador at London, M. Maisky, called at the Foreign Office and confirmed the invitation for a British Ministerial visit to Moscow. The question of acceptance remains under consideration.
