DANCE AT PUKEARUHE

GENERAL AND PERSONAL ITEMS. A dance was held in the Pukearrihe hall last Tuesday. Mr. T. Martin made a presentation of a dinner-service tb Miss A. Cocker and Mr. N; Keech in view of their approaching marriage. Mr. won as follows: Monte Carlo, Mr. and Keech reposnded. Novelty dances were Mrs. L. Kemp, Mr. R. Weeden and Miss W. Crudis. Mr. N. Edwin supplied the music, with an extra by Mrs. Kemp, while Mr. Hugh Martin was master of ceremonies. Supper was erved by a committee Consisting of Mesdames L. Herbert, C. Lambert, V. Wells and R. Luxton. Miss W.' Pepprell has returned to Hurford Road after spending, a week with Mrs. H. Wells. Mrs. W. Freeth is an inmate of. lona private hospital.' Mrs. Cleaver, WhakatanC, is the guest of her sister, Mrs., E. Sulzberger. Mrs. R. Pigott is a visitor at Ngahiwi, the home of Mr. arid Mrs. W. Freeth. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Allen and family are camping at White Cliffs. Mrs. Liddall, serir., Arambhb, is visiting her son, Mr. G. Liddall. Mr. Bruce Sulzberger is spending a holiday in South Taranaki. At a meeting of the Pukearuhfe school committee on Saturday night it was decided to apply for an assistant teacher on account of the increase in attendance.
