LEPPERTON GARDEN PARTY.

A garden fete arranged by the W.D.F.U. to have taken place at Mrs. H. B. Lepper’s residence on Thursday was by reason bf the weather held in the hall. A produce stall, well stocked, was in charge of Mrs. P. A. Openshaw. A competition arranged by Mrs. Lepper was won by Mrs. H. Wallace. A novel game of croquet also arranged by Mrs. Lepper was won by Miss M. Gorrie. An iced cake made and donated by Mrs. R. Paul and iced and decorated by Mrs. E. Hellier, junr., was won by Mr. Arthur Oliver. A short musical programme was given as follows: Pianoforte duct, Mrs. A. Roberts and Miss Pearl Roberts; pianoforte solo, Miss Pearl Roberts; songs, Mrs. Staples.
