FINES INFLICTED AT FOXTON. ACTION BY DEPARTMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association, Foxton, Feb. 21. Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M., made it clear in the Foxton Magistrate’s Court yesterday that ragwort must not be allowed to spread. A farmer was convicted for allowing three pieces to grow on a 145acre farm and others were fined amounts ranging from 10s to £3 for similar offences. The action was taken by the Agricultural Department, acting in conjunction with the Manawatu Rabbit .Board.
