C. -Balfour, president of the. American . College of Surgebns, and Dr. M. S. Hhndertoh, presi-' dent of the Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, arrived by the Mariposa on their way to attend the annual congress of the Royal Australasian College, of Surgeons at Melbourne. Dr. Balfour stressed the international aspect of the work of the Mayo Clinic, where there are 400 doctors.
